Welcome back!
Hi, and welcome back!
We've been extremely busy over the past seven months. Since moving into our new offices in Georgetown (just south of downtown Seattle) we have "rebooted" the company. We have purchased new equipment, made hundreds of infrastructure and process improvements, and spent a lot of time & energy firming up our service offerings. We've got some killer IT management plans, and I'm extremely proud of our staff who has risen to the challenges I've put before them.
We recently hit a significant milestone in the evolution of this company as well: the 10,000th ticket was resolved in our helpdesk software (RequestTracker) just a few weeks ago. That's 10,000 individual requests for support from our customers since March of 2004. I believe the ability to track everything is key to an effective IT management strategy and our support system has definitely proven its worth.
I have so much more I want to talk about--but in the interest of keeping your attention we'll have to wait to cover it all over the next several issues of this newsletter.
In this issue I'm going to briefly discuss our current service offerings, talk about our new Referral Partner Program, then introduce you to a very cool new service from Google which could consume all of the remaining time in your day.
In coming issues of this newsletter I'll be covering Microsoft Windows Vista, Office 2007, Apple, Blackberry, Windows Mobile, backups, spam strategies, how to create easy-to-remember strong passwords, acceptable use policies, how to buy a business computer, and better ways to manage your e-mail. You'll also get to meet our staff and tour the office!
